The S3M Doctoral School Day (JED) is an annual event organized to bring together all PhD students members of the doctoral school of Sciences of Matter, Molecules, and Materials (ED-S3M).
This year, the event will take place at Rennes University on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025.
The need to live on a sustainable planet and ensure the well-being of humanity are key points in the development of research. In the fields of physics and chemistry, we think about the future. That's why, this year's JED theme is "Materials for Tomorrow: Science, Sustainability, and Beyond".
All phD student members of the ED-S3M are encouraged to participate and share their thesis research work by doing a 15 minutes oral presentation (12 minutes + 3 minutes for questions) or in the form of a poster (A0 format). Presentation and poster should be in English and if your topic does not match the subject of the conference we still invite you to present or simply attend and actively listen to other participants. You only need to register!
Abstracts for oral presentations and posters must be registered before April 1st, 2025.
Registration is mandatory for each participant, whether they wish to actively participate or not, and must be completed on our website before April 1st, 2025.
We would like to remind you that in order to have your doctorate validated, you must attend two Doctoral School S3M Days and present at least one time or participate with a poster. That’s why priority will be given to third-year students who have not yet made their required contribution.
*Lunch and coffee breaks will be provided by the S3M doctoral school.
*Awards will be offered to the best presentations by a jury (teaching researchers and researchers from the laboratories of the Doctoral School S3M).
*For doctoral students coming from outside Rennes, transportation by SNCF as well as accommodation for one night will be provided.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at jed-s3m@univ-rennes.fr or reach out to the Doctoral School administration at ed-s3m@doctorat-bretagne.fr.
We look forward to your participation!
